Faircape Health

Interdisciplinary Team Approach

Clinical evidence shows that treatment outcomes are best when treatment is administered by a Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) incorporating a variety of practitioners. At Faircape Health, we bring together healthcare professionals from different fields to collaborate on treatment plans for optimal clinical outcomes.

About our IDT Approach

Primary and allied healthcare practitioners combine their specialities to administer the most comprehensive treatment plans available. Our treatment regimens do not focus exclusively on disease, but rather on optimising wellness, and function. Following an initial complex assessment, the treating physiotherapist will develop a custom tailored treatment plan to improve quality of life, exercise tolerance and overall physical functioning for optimal outcomes.

This experience deepened Carrie’s understanding of the profound ways in which physical health can impact mental health, behaviour and cognition. At Faircape Health Tokai, Carrie provides psychotherapy, tailored neuropsychological assessments and psychoeducation to her patients and their families. She adopts a compassionate, collaborative approach grounded in psychodynamic principles, complimented by her training in other modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Through psychotherapy, Carrie strives to create a supportive space in which patients can explore their inner worlds, gain insight and build resilience.
