Occupational Therapists

Our team of Occupational Therapists enable our patients’ to regain their independence and maximise their participation in their everyday life activities by rehabilitating lost function, enhancing their skills and reducing limitations through the use of assistive devices and environmental adaptations.

Meet Our Occupational Therapists

A dynamic team of 4 Occupational Therapists bring passion and occupational engagement to the Faircape Health Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). The Occupational Therapists vision is to promote a fulfilling life through engagement in meaningful occupation. The practice is focused on assisting patients with a diverse set of abilities, and enabling participation in everyday activities of life to maximise health.

We pride ourselves and focus on looking at an individual’s abilities and not impairments. Our Occupational Therapists adapt the person’s environment or teach methods of using assistive devices to promote participation in everyday occupations. Occupations including: Basic Activities of Daily Living (BADLs) such as self-care tasks, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as meal preparation tasks, driving tasks, work, education and leisure tasks. For an individual to be able to perform an occupation or activity of choice ultimately promotes a meaningful quality life.
